Myrtle von Hollen
The family of Myrtle von Hollen is sad to announce her passing on May 12, 2018, at the age of 82. Memories of Myrtle’s warm, loving heart, independent spirit, straight talk and ever-present sense of humour will long be cherished by her many family and friends. In her career as an Early Childhood Educator, Myrtle proudly nurtured many preschool and daycare children and their families in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows and Mission for many years. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Victor and Agnes Stollings, and her brother Bob. Her legacy of love lives on in 3 children, Sharon, Jim (Heather), and Jeff (Clara), and her 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is dearly missed by her 2 sisters, Marie and Helen, and 26 nieces and nephews. Best buddy, Bernie LeMire, had a special place in her heart, along with her many good friends and neighbours.
In lieu of flowers and in honour of Myrtle’s love of children, donations to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation or a children’s charity of your choice would be welcome.
The family would like to thank the staff of Ridge Meadows Hospital and Dr. Milewski for their fine care and support.
