MURRAY, Diane
August 25, 1944 — January 19, 2018
Diane Margaret Murray was born August 25th, 1944, in Lethbridge AB, and passed away January 19th, 2018 in Kelowna, BC. Diane was also known as Mums, Deeds, DD, Di and, maybe most importantly, Nana-Bear. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, John and Stewart, daughter-in-law, Melanie, as well as a loving Nana to her four granddaughters, Ella, Jayne, Kate and Maisie who loved her dearly.
Diane was a highly committed, caring daughter to her predeceased mother and father, Jean and Fred Lamb and sister to her brother, John Lamb. A loyal friend to many, Diane always gave generously of her time and heart to those who were close to her. She was a woman of boundless positive energy and a strong sense of pride. Diane was highly active and contributed in many ways to the community in which she lived. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 30 years, President of the Chamber of Commerce, volunteer at the Kelowna General Hospital, was active at the West Kelowna Yacht Club and on the social committee at Sonoma Pines. Throughout her wonderful life, Diane worked successfully as a health care worker, a legal secretary, florist, realtor and real estate marketer. Although her physical presence will be greatly missed, her energy and amazing spirit will surround all those that know and love her. For those interested, donations can be made to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, www.kghfoundation.com. The family would like to thank all the kind and caring professionals who helped treat her and care for her. A private celebration of life will take place in her honor this Spring in West Kelowna where we can all pay tribute to this incredible and beloved person.
