With heavy hearts, the family of Murielle O’Leary announces her passing, which occurred at home on Saturday, April 28th, 2018, surrounded by her family. Murt was born in Fredericton on October 12, 1942; a daughter of the late Joseph and Inez (Duguay) LeBlanc, and the loving wife of Paul O’Leary. Murt was raised in Fredericton, and moved to Saint John to attend St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, graduating from the class of 1964. She later went on to work as a Registered Nurse/Supervisor at the Saint John Regional Hospital, when it opened in 1982. Murielle loved travelling; many wonderful vacations were had in the Caribbean, Europe, and all over the world. Murt and Paul also enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Pennfield with their family, and she also enjoyed cross-stitching. Along with her husband Paul, Murt is survived by her children; Renée Nason (Bill), Monique O’Leary, and Ryan O’Leary; brother Eric LeBlanc (Karen), as well as granddaughters Meghan Humphrey (Matt), and Mikayla Nason. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John with visitation being held on Tuesday from 2-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Ann’s Church, 135 Simpson Drive on Wednesday, May 2nd at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
