Passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 67.
Beloved husband of Iris.
Loving father of Ryan and Jordan.
Cherished grandfather of Xavier and Ozzy.
Dear brother of Jo Anne Watamanuk (Ken), Jefferey, Deborah Weavers (Arnold) and Dennise Barth (Ron).
Survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Predeceased by his parents James and Elinore.
Monty developed his career at Schneiders, later turned entrepreneur founding Elmira Poultry as well as JRM and Creative Landscape Depot. He was passionate about value added manufacturing, systems efficacy, innovation, and recognizing people for their efforts. A considerate and sensitive man who remained curious throughout his life. He loved to learn and share his knowledge and mentored others when the opportunity presented itself. Always advocating giving back and supporting opportunities for others. Monty lived a fulfilling and adventurous life, anchored in nature based activities, including fishing, camping in his trailer or exploring landscapes on his motorcycle. His support towards Stork Family YMCA Wellness Program was near to his heart.
Monty’s family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Westmount Golf and Country Club, 50 Inverness Dr., Kitchener, ON, N2M 4Z9. Words of tribute will be shared at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kitchener-Waterloo YMCA – Stork Family Wellness Fund would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
