Passed peacefully away on November 24th, 2018 after a short illness, Miriam (Mamie) Moores, age 98 formerly of Broad Cove, Conception Bay North but as of late a resident of Karwood Retirement Retreat, Paradise.
Predeceased by her husband Roy and her brothers: Matthew and Spurgeon.
Leaving to mourn, her son Gerald (Mary); her grandchildren: Wendy (Paul) Parsons, Kimberly (Gary) Smith, Wayne (Michelle) Moores, Krista (Jeremey) Meehan, her step-grandchildren: Heather (Grant) Leckie and Clesson Monk; eleven great grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; three nieces, three nephews and a large circle of friends. Cremation has already taken place. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, November 25th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Barrett’s chapel on Monday, November 26th at 11am. Interment to follow at 2pm in Blackhead United Church Cemetery. Special thank you to the management and staff at Karwood Retirement Retreat, Paradise for their constant care and support and to the staff of 2A East on her final days.
