Thomas Gibson Millner
January 1, 1945 – December 21, 2018
Tom was born in Creston, British Columbia on January 1, 1945 to Robert and Clara Millner. The 9th of 10 children. Missing Tom dearly are his partner, Sharon Ruston (Clearwater), his daughter, Laura Daburger (Ron Watters), grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) MacKenzie, Michael (Karlie) Daburger and Brittney Watters (Kamloops), sisters Dorothy Robertson (Victoria) and Laura Rampton (Alan) Vancouver as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Tom was predeceased by his wife Pearl, five sisters, Mary Kirk, Roberta Bjarnason, Isabel Perry, Catherine Gray, Elizabeth Domke and two brothers, Richard and James Millner.
Tom grew up in Lister loving the outdoors and spending many hours playing hockey. Being 6’7” was a big advantage on defence! Tom loved to drive both short haul and long haul and to spend time on the road. Camping and fishing were favourite pastimes. He lived in Fraser Lake and Kamloops and retired to Clearwater where he enjoyed his life with Sharon. Family was always important to Tom and he made many road trips to visit his mother who lived to 101 and to attend family gatherings.
Family will gather at a later date for the interment of ashes in the Lister All Saints Anglican Cemetery.
