OBITUARY
Milford Larkin Rice
February 16, 1948 – March 12, 2018
Milford Larkin Rice -Age 70 of North Range passed away March 12, 2018 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Hilltown, he was a son of the late, Walter and Mildred (McCullough) Rice. Milford worked in construction for over 20 years. He was a member of CB Radio Club and the Four-Wheeler Club; he enjoyed 4-wheeling, fishing, deer hunting, going to yard sales and talking on the CB. Milford had a nickname for everyone and he was always willing to help anyone in need, he never missed a benefit in the community. He will be missed by his dog Steffie who was always with him. He is survived by, wife, Marilyn (Specht) Rice; sons, Alvin (Trisha) Rice; Christopher (Dianna) Rice; grandchildren, Samantha, Faith, Ryan, Ethen, Howie, Jordan, Payton, Amber, Kylia, Christopher, Alexander; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Summer, Brooklynn, Logan; sisters, Thelma Rice, Violet (Bernard) Amero, Flora Nancekievill, Joyce (John) Frith, Dorothy Gavel; brother, Freeman (Blanche) Rice also many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Milford was predeceased by sister, Beulah (Winston) Gavel; brothers, Albert and Elmer.
Visitation will be 7-9 pm on Thursday March 15th with funeral service on Friday March 16th at 2pm both from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch Street, Digby. Mr. Lou Outhouse will preside with burial in Hilltown Cross Road Cemetery. Donations in memory can be made to charity of choice.
