Obituary of Mildred Henley
HENLEY, Mildred Louise –Age 98, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 in Hillside Pines, Bridgewater. Born on November 12, 1919 in Chelsea, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Annie (Butler) Wessell. She is survived by daughters, Julia Oickle, Cookville; Louise (John) Aulenback, Bridgewater; daughter-in-law, Sheila Henley, Bridgewater; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Wessell, Chelsea; Fayette Henley, Port Midway; grandchildren, Angela (Blair) Conrad, Chester; Matthew, Lower Branch; Gina (Paul) Steadman, Lower Branch; Neil (Yoshino) Henley, Japan; Deanna (Kevin) Nowe, Conquerall Mills; Brett (Carrie) Henley, Chelsea; Danica Henley, New Zealand; Dwayne (Maria) Henley, Calgary; great grandchildren, Alana Steadman, Cookville; Shawna (Spencer Hebb) Henderson, Chelsea Henley, both of Chelsea; Spencer Oickle, Michael Oickle, both of Lower Branch; Mila Vasquez, Mateo Vasquez, both of Ontario; Oliver Henley, Finnigan Henley, both of Calgary; Kaden Cumming, New Zealand; Everett, Chelsea. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Borden Henley; daughter-in-law, Althea Henley; sons, William Henley and Richard Henley; son-in-law, Paul Oickle; brother, George Edward Wessell and grand-daughter, Dawn Vasquez.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am, on Tuesday, May 29 in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Jim MacDonald, OMI officiating. Burial to take place following the service in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Chelsea. Memorial donations may be made to Hillside Pines, Palliative Care Unit, Bridgewater. The family would like to thank the staff of Mahone Bay Nursing Home. An extra special thank you to the staff at Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, for the love they showed to Mildred and her family while she was living there.
