Mildred Helen Marian (Newton)
Tupper – 92, of Dartmouth, formerly of Kentville, passed
away Thursday, September 27, 2018 in Oakwood Terrace, Dartmouth. Born
in Belleville, ON, she was a daughter of the late Rodney Clark Newton
and Mary Ann (Briant) Newton. She was a member of St. John’s
Anglican Church, Port Williams and a member of the ACW. Mildred
enjoyed the time she spent fishing, swimming, canning, baking, cooking
and welcoming friends at Lake George. She was also an avid reader and
enjoyed writing poetry. She is survived by a daughter, Anna Paulette
(David) Whitman, Paradise; a son, Richard (Elizabeth) Tupper,
Dartmouth; a brother, Norman (Jan) Newton, Belleville, ON; three
grandchildren, Cathy (Greg) Wheeler, Nictaux; Lori (Peter) Price,
Paradise and Nicole (Brad) Sharpe, Edmonton, AB; five great
grandchildren, Haley, Kristen, Grayson, Dillon and Sydney; nieces and
nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, James William
Chase; her second husband, Bradford Foster Tupper; four sisters, Vera
Lillian, Florence Marjorie, Joan Kathleen and June Marie; three
brothers, John Rodney, Clark Frederick and Rodney Clark. Cremation has
taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral
service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the
White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Maya Bevan officiating.
Burial will take place in the Scott’s Bay Cemetery, Kings
County. A reception will follow in the Scott’s Bay Community
Hall. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Nova Scotia or Oakwood Terrace, 10 Mount Hope Avenue,
Dartmouth, NS B2Y 4K1. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
