Sampson, Micheal:
Surrounded by his loving family, Micheal passed away peacefully, on Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at K-W Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 50.
Beloved husband of 17 years to Debbie (nee Groot). Cherished dad to Alec. Loving son of Lawrence and the late Anna Mae Sampson. Dear brother of Stacey (Kyle) Sayer and Tommy (Kim) Sampson. Brother-in-law of Divera Groot, Bill (Rena) Groot, Jim Groot, John (Elaine) Groot, Nick (Trudy) Groot, Patricia (Terry) Day and Jeannette Robinson. Remembered also by Mary Margaret Groot, Scott Robinson, his many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Adrian and Katrien Groot.
He was a valued team member at SunLife Financial since graduating from the University of Guelph in 1992. He was also an avid Toronto Maple Leaf Fan!
Mike’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. The Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 at 11:00 am. Private cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research through the Sunnybrook Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
