Michael ‘Tawson’ Flynn
1947-2018
Michael Edward « Tawson » Flynn, 71, passed

son of the late Bob and Evelyn (Morgan) Flynn. He was very active with
and dedicated to the North End Ball Team for a number of years, as

respected by the team. He was also very involved with the Pictou
County Rugby Club and was a member of the Pictou County Sports
Heritage Hall of Fame. He was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman
Catholic Church; and the Elks Lodge 226, New Glasgow. He was a true
North Ender. Michael is survived by his twin brother, Barry
(Charlene); nieces: Patti (Colin) MacLeod, and their children Ian and
Evelyn; Meredith Flynn; Patricia (Troy) MacLeod, and their children
Taya and Paisley; nephew, Shane (Serina) MacDougall, and their
children Austin, Isaac and Abby; aunt, Anne Cullen; numerous cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Pat and her
husband, Clifford MacDougall. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday, in
the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow. Funeral
Mass 11 am Thursday, in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church,
New Glasgow, with Father Tom MacNeil officiating. Reception to follow.
