Passed away on Tuesday, June 12th, 2018 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Michael B. Guilfoyle, in his 69th year. Predeceased by his wife Barbara, father Michael Sr., mother Helen, and brother Patrick. Left to mourn are his son Patrick, wife Anna, grand daughter Melissa, grandson Daniel, grand daughter Veronica Cleary, daughter Tracy, sister Gertrude Field (Eric), nephews Sean (family) , Darrell (family), Barbara Lane (Leo), Lori (family), brother Ed (Judy) niece Denise, sister-in-law Maggie Guilfoyle and niece Tonya Guilfoyle. Michael was born on December 13th, 1948. He worked with the railway for 23 years, D.F.O., Canada Passports, McKinley Motors and Jiffy Cabs. Michael also volunteered with the Lions Club, was a 3rd degree member of the Terra Nova Council of the Knights of Columbus, was a Cub/Scout leader and a soccer coach. Michael graduated from Brother Rice High School in 1964, and graduated from Keyin Technical College with diplomas in Business Management and Human Resources Development. Special thanks to the caring staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, and everyone who have or will pay their respects. A visitation will occur on Sunday June 17th, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m & 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Caul’s Chapel on Monday, June 18th, 2018 at 11:30 a.m, with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Michael may be made to The Canadian Heart and Stroke Association, the Canadian Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
