PEEL, Michael Garnet John
We are so sorry to announce the passing of Michael , age 30. Aug.5, 1987-March16, 2018.
Beloved son of Janis & Bob, & much-loved brother of Stefanie & Jeff and brother-in-law to Jennifer. Dear ‘Uncle Mip’ to Eva. Loved Grandson of Dorothy Peel and girlfriend of Michele Meyer.
Mike attended East Garafraxa Public School & Westside SS.
He attended Fanshawe College and earned his Business Diploma and Culinary Arts Diploma, after which, he then earned his Red Seal.
Mike loved life…family & friends, hockey, surfing, kayaking, golf, music, baseball and geography & travel and practical jokes.
After college, Mike worked in Vienna for 4 months on a SWAP program. (Student Working Abroad Program) Mike then travelled around Europe for 2 months.
Mike moved to Kelowna for work in March 2012, and enjoyed the Okanagan lifestyle with golf, kayaking, hiking and baseball with his friends.
He contracted Lyme Disease about 10 years ago. Unfortunately it slowly took control over his body.
We know Mike will be remembered for his joy for life & loving nature.
