Michael’s Obituary
NEW GLASGOW – Michael Allan MacPherson, 48, New Glasgow, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 in Drayton Valley, Alta., as the result of a workplace motor vehicle accident.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Linda “Coreen” (Osburne) MacPherson, New Glasgow and the late Fraser Allan (Butch) MacPherson. Michael’s first passion was singing songs from his favorite band, One Bad Son, with friends while strumming his guitar. His second passion was truck driving and he was employed with RBS Bulk Systems Inc., Alberta. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all “life on the road” where he would often get in his Jeep and drive with no destination in mind. He was a loving father, son, uncle and friend, who will be dearly missed by those he loved.
Surviving besides his mother, Coreen, are daughter, Jocelyn, St. John’s, Nfld.; sister, Lisa, New Glasgow; brother, Jason (Kim), New Glasgow; nieces, Melissa and Shay.
The family will receive visitors 1:00 – 1:50 p.m. Sunday, December 2nd in P. & K MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
