Maundrell, Maurine passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a courageous battle against cancer, at the Southampton Hospital on Sunday February 11, 2018. Edna Maurine Maundrell (nee Underwood) of Southampton in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Maundrell. Loving mother of Roxy and her husband Bev Angel of Port Elgin and Jim and his wife Connie of Red Deer, Alberta. Proud Grandma of Danielle (Steve), Becki (Jordan), Kaitlyn (Chad), Jennalee, and especially proud Great Grandmother of Callie. Maurine will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Maurice & Edna Underwood, and by her brother Jack and his wife Isabelle ‘Toots’. Maurine resided in the family home in Southampton, surrounded by wonderful neighbours for over 60 years. She tended to her gardens with as much joy and caring as she did as a nurse at the Southampton Hospital. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Maurine will be held at the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Sunday February 18, 2018 at 3 p.m. with visitation beginning at 2 p.m. Spring interment at Southampton Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
