Obituary for Mardi Mathews
MATHEWS; Mardi – Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. MARDI MATHEWS (nee Charne), of Sarnia, was in her 72nd year. Mardi will be missed by her husband Don, her children Al Riemeyer, Tina (Wybrand) Kamminga, John Riemeyer, and Rudy Brill and step son Dwayne Mathews. She was a loved grandmother to Justin, Collin, Johan, Wilma, Ronny, Josh, Logan, Kenny, Anara, and Austin. She was a loved sister to Bob Woodward, Islay (James) Heyd, Dave (Mercy Cheres) Charne, Nancy (Bill) Cable, and Maureen (Mike) Janssen. Mardi was predeceased by her husbands, Jacob Riemeyer, and Alan Brill, and a step-daughter Yvonne Mathews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Wyoming Chapel, 650 Broadway St., Wyoming. Visitors will be received prior to the service from 1 to 1:45 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to St. Joseph’s Hospice (www.stjosephshospice.ca).
