On January 23rd 1950, a beautiful child born in Dartmouth NS. Her name; Mary-June (which no one ever got right!) Ferris (nee Butters). She married a bad boy with a heart of gold. Sweet Jim (James E Ferris) as he is known. Mary-June and Jim were high school sweethearts from Kings and Edgehill. A true love affair of 46 years, married in the Kings Chapel. Mary-June was the judge, jury and protector of the KKK (Kelley, Kim and Kristen)….their 3 little girls with freckles and grit. Each of whom married amazing, good men (Mike, Jason and Bobby). A life of laughter, adventure and some tears (well earned, the girls were difficult teenagers) As her hair turned silver, a gaggle of grandchildren (9) appeared. Manners and motorcycles were in her blood as were Yellow roses and pansies. On January 26th the S.O.B cancer took our mother/wife/grandmother without our permission (and we are mad as hell). Her pretty black locks that had since turned to silver have now all been lost. She was the Compass of our family and will remain so; The strong family she created will never be lost as she provided all the direction we will ever need. She lived life to the fullest with few regrets however one of her major regrets in life involved a plate of Kraft dinner and a bottle of ketchup.
Eternally missed, but never forgotten….
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de MaryJune Ferris (January 23 1950 January 26 2018).source
