Obituary of Mary Briand
Mary Julia Briand aged 83 years passed peacefully away at the Cove Guest home, Sydney, NS on the 17th of October, 2018.
Mary was born on January 02, 1935 in Ingonish, NS to her parents Edward and Bridget (Whitty) Hawley.
Mary had a heart of gold and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mary was an amazing cook and returned to school to obtain her red seal in cooking.
Mary is survived by her son Edward, Lower Sackville, her daughter Brenda (Ron), Dartmouth, sisters Anne (Clarence), Truro, Alice (Art) Fall River, grandchildren Raylene, Krista, Derek, Tyler, Ashley and four great-grand children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred; her brother, Simon; and her daughter, Sheila Briand-Bechard.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside family service will be held at a later date in Dingwall, NS. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
