With heavy hearts, the family of Mary McKinney announces her passing, which occurred on December 15th, 2018, at the Loch Lomond Village. Mary was born on February 6, 1932; a daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Wickham) Connell, and the loving wife of the late Thomas McKinney. Her children and grandchildren were her number one priority in life. When not with her family, she was an avid reader of mysteries and British History. She loved to travel, especially to England. Mary was a member of the CWL, and her church was very important to her.
Left to mourn are her sons Gregory (Donna) and Tommy (Cathy), both of Saint John; daughters Margaret (Eldon) Dubee of Saint John, Frances Raymond of Calgary and Brenda McKinney of Saint John; sister Anna Mae Coulter, brothers Harold and Joseph of Ontario, ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was pre-deceased by her daughter Theresa McKinney in infancy, as well as brothers Charles, Thomas and Johnny, and sisters Agnes, Regina, Margaret, and Bessie.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Catholic Church, 201 Bayside Drive, on Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, followed by a reception at Fundy Funeral Home. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Due to allergies in the family, flowers are gratefully declined.
