Passed away on Monday November 5, 2018 at Birchmere Retirement Residence. Wife of the late C. Al Rutherford. Loving Mother of Jan (Parri Bylow) Rutherford of Orillia and Todd (Haifa Hassan) Rutherford of Etobicoke. Cherished Grandmother of Dr. Drew Kingston (Melissa) of San Diego California, Kristin (John) Vandenberg of Peterborough, Blair and Bryden Rutherford of Pickering. Mary was born and raised in Orillia. She is the Past Worthy Matron and Past Deputy District Grand Matron of the Eastern Star, Lily of the Valley Chapter #161, Orillia. She was the Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 99 Peter St. N., Orillia on Tuesday November 13, 2018 from 10:30 AM until time of Eastern Star Service followed by a Celebration of Life. Many thanks to Dr. Heather Laakso for her care and compassion for Mary. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church or Eastern Star, Lily Of the Valley Chapter #161 would be gratefully appreciated.
