Mary-Jane Madeleine Walsh – 76, of New Minas, passed away
Thursday, April 26, 2018 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre – Halifax
Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Montreal, she was a
daughter of the late Anthony and Marie-Jeanne (Perusse)
Hall. Mary-Jane, a beautiful wife, an extremely devoted
mother, a fabulous grandmother, a special sister and a caring friend
will be greatly missed. She was an active member of St.
Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville, where she sang in
the choir, served as a Eucharistic Minister, was a member of the
Catholic Women’s League, the Stage Prophets, was involved in
the Alpha program and was an active member of the Cursillo
movement. She is survived by her husband, Anthony; a
daughter, Catherine « Cathy » (Paul) Walker, Greater Lakeburn,
New Brunswick; two sons, Michael, Pierce, Quebec and Danny (Alice),
Montreal; a sister, Gloria (Erich) Proulx, British Columbia; two
brothers, Donald (Vera) Hall, Montreal and Edward « Eddie »
(Irene) Hall, Dorval, Quebec; two grandchildren, Alexander and
Benjamin; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a
daughter, Theresa and siblings, Allan, Larry, Roger, Suzanne and
Frances. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in
the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, with prayers to be held at
8:00 p.m. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held
at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in St. Joseph’s Roman
Catholic Church, Kentville, Father John MacPherson
officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross
Cemetery, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to St.
Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
