Mary Irene Davison
1933-2018
Mary Irene Davison – 84, of East
Hall’s Harbour, Kings County, passed away Saturday, January
20, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Wolfville, she was
the daughter of the late Alfred and Susan (Smith) Barkhouse. She loved
horses, dogs, playing cards, western movies and attending Blue Grass
festivals. She is survived by a daughter, Sally Jess (Clinton Ward),
East Hall’s Harbour; a son, Raymond (Sharon), Canaan; two
brothers, Daniel (Diane Graves), Canning and Enos, Kentville; two
grandchildren, Joseph Davison, Kentville; Sarah (Kyle) Troop,
Kingston; six great grandchildren, Dorian, Brody and Kadence Davison;
Colby, Ivy and Jasper Troop; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased
by her husband, Paul (2000); her partner, Fred Dauphinee (2010); a
son-in-law, Malcolm Jess (2011). There will be no visitation, by
request. The funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at
11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in the White Family Funeral
Home, Kentville. Burial will take place at a later date in the
Habitant Cemetery, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to
the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or the charity of your
choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
