MARY ELIZABETH ADAMS
Peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at her residence in Lunenburg, which had also been her place of birth, Mary Elizabeth Adams, formerly of Cornwall; age 97. Loving elder daughter of the late Heber and Jessie (nee Clark) Adams. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephew, great nieces and great nephews. Predeceased by her sister Isabel and brother Joel.
A Life Member of the United Church Women and the Women’s Institute, Miss Adams served as organist and choir director of the former Willis United Church, North Lunenburg for several years. She later became a faithful congregant of Knox St. Paul’s United Church until failing health prevented her from attending.
Mary, along with her family, would like to thank Susan Ward who took such special care of her these past four years, providing a loving family environment while she resided at Senior Country Living in Lunenburg.
Funeral Arrangements
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Lawrence Valley Cemetery, Long Sault. Arrangements entrusted to McArthur Bros. & MacNeil Funeral Home & Chapel, 428 Second Street East, Cornwall (613 932-6300). Condolences may be made at www.mcarthurbrosfh.com.
