PARMENTER, Mary Catherine (nee Collins) – Passed peacefully away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Pleasant View Towers in the presence of her loving family. Mary Catherine Parmenter in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband Charles; parents: Jane and William Collins; sister Helen (Alex) Walsh; sisters-in-law: Christine and Alma Collins and brother-in-law: Brian Sullivan. Leaving to mourn her daughters: Linda Spurrell, Marie and Kathy Parmenter; sons David (Valerie) and Ed (Maria); brothers: Tom (Marie), Bill and Patrick; sisters: Dot (Richard) Bonsole, Theresa (Roy) Goving, Beth (Gerry) Dunphy, Geraldine (Kevin) Davis and Margie Sullivan (Ron Guest); 9 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren who she loved with all her heart. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. We would like to extend our love and gratitude to the staff at CraDea Manor and Pleasant View Towers 2 Southwest. Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:00 -9:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel, Mt. Pearl. Inurnmernt to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donation’s may be made in Mary’s memory to the Rainbow Riders, Candle Lighters Association or The Children’s Wish Foundation.
