It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary “Bride” Simon Bennett announce her passing at the Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Friday May 18th, 2018 at the age of 66 years. She will be sadly missed by her husband Wayne Bennett, her two sons; Shawn Hann (Collen) of Paradise, Paul Hann of St. Johns, granddaughters Erika & Krista, her brothers; Cadmon Simon (Shirley) of Stephenville Crossing, Herbert Simon (Lisa) of Mattis Point, Narcis Simon (Alice) of Aguathuna, Patrick Simon (Audrey) of St. Catherine’s Ontario, Phillip Simon (Faye) of Fort McMurray Alberta, Ronald Simon of Alberta and her two sisters Oliven Chaffey (Todd) of Mattis Point & Elizabeth (Nick) Carmichael of St. Catherine’s Ontario. She will be dearly missed by her friends in Mount Pearl; George & Ruth Burke, Betty Ford, Paul & Dora Lake, Beverly Best & Craig, Donna Evans, Edwina Baldwin, Stephenville Crossing; Ricky & Carla Lucas, Cassandra & Tiffany Lucas, Phonsaine Young, Betty Benoit, Jean & Sharon Alexander, Lester Brumsey and Piccadilly; Cletus & Angela Lucas. She also leaves behind with fond and loving memories her Nieces, Nephew & a large circle of family and friends from the Cape. She was predeceased by her parents Herbert Simon & Isabel Simon-Cormier and her oldest brother Dominic. Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing on Sunday May 20th, 2018 from 2-4 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Service will take place at Assumption Parish in Stephenville Crossing on Monday May 21st, 2018 at 10 A.M. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
