Passed away peacefully on July 14, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Dearest husband of Ana for 55 years. Loving father of Martin Jr. and JoAnne and husband Rob VidAmour. Adored Papa to Chloe’, Jackson, and Ty VidAmour and Maxwell Utrosa. Father-in-law to Jodi Ropac. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Hilda (late Anton) Godar; nephew, Karl (late Susan) Godar; and niece, Marie (Gord) Tulloch of Winnipeg. As well as, his family and friends in Slovenija. Born on November 9, 1930 in Hotize, Slovenija and immigrated to Canada in 1957 and lived in Winnipeg, where he met and married Ana, who is also from Slovenija. Martin started his living as a bricklayer and one of his proudest accomplishments was building of his own house on Langlois court where the family has lived 43years. Martin was also a long-time and proud employee of Chrysler Canada and a member of Unifor Local 444. He was also a member of the Windsor Slovenija Club (Svon), where he spent many memorable occasions with friends and family. A dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help where he attended Mass devotedly for many years. Many thanks to Schlegel Villages at St Clair for their kind and compassionate care and providing every comfort during his stay, especially the staff of the Gosfield Neighbourhood. In kindness, memorial donations may be made to CMHA – Windsor Es County or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. Visiting will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave 519.253.7234 on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 4:30pm. Visiting will continue at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 10:30 until time of Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
