O’BRIEN, Marlene (Collins)
After a lengthy battle with cancer, Marlene passed away on October 15, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton. Beloved wife and best friend of Matt. Loving mom of Mike (Kayla Mooney). Remembered with love by her mother-in-law Loretta O’Brien (late Clifford). Sadly missed by her cousins Stephen and Barry Clements, Diana and Bryan Hodson. Adored by her many nieces and nephews. Marlene was predeceased by her parents Ron and Shirley Collins, and her sister Sherry Hill. Marlene was a well-respected Human Resource Professional with Environment Canada and the Department of National Defense. We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff of 3rd Floor, Juravinski Hospital and St. Peter’s Hospital- 3 West for the exceptional care and compassion given to Marlene and the family. Visitation will be held at the DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME- BURLINGTON CHAPEL (2241 New Street at Drury Lane, 905-637-5233) on Thursday October 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with Words of Remembrance at 8:30 p.m.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday October 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. at ZOHR FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 194 Jane Street, Eganville and again Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. James The Less Catholic Church, Eganville at 11 a.m. Inurnment St. Joseph’s on the Opeongo R C Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy to the St. Peter’s Hospital (Hamilton Health Science Foundation) or Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated. On-line condolences may be made at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
