Obituary for Mark Bradley Moon
Mark Bradley Moon – born March 21 1962
A good man is gone. Passed suddenly at his home from unsuspected heart condition on Saturday February 17, 2018, Mark lived his life quietly, respectfully and gratefully for all it held. Especially his lifelong partner and best friend Shannon, and his cherished son and the axis of his world, Madison. Mark left footprints on the hearts of those who mourn him. His daily acts of kindness generosity quips of humour and optimism in any circumstance made him the kind of person you want to become. Mark owned a St. Catharines business with his sister Heather – Career Clinic for 10 yrs where he helped hundreds of job seekers find employment. He moved on to working with his sister Deborah in Hamilton continuing in the field of career specialist for another 10 years and currently worked for the City of Hamilton in this capacity. Mark loved helping people rebuild their lives and careers, and co workers and clients both, loved him back. Mark’s steady brand of respect, hard work, finding the humour and going above and beyond will be his legacy, as well as his devotion and love of family and friends. He leaves an immense void in the lives of his wife Shannon Moon (née Terreberry), son Madison (Toronto), his Dad, Donald (Ft. Erie) and step mother Nancy, his sisters Heather Barber & spouse Devon (Naples Florida) Deborah Moon & spouse David Boles (Fenwick) his brother Greg Moon & spouse Joanna (Kingston) his loving ‘favourites’ Melanie, Alysha, Cailyn, Alison, Tyler, nieces and nephew who thought him their own personal champion at every turn; and Terreberry family with whom he shared such special bonds for over 30 years; cousins, friends & co-workers who meant so much to him. Predeceased by his precious mother Marion (2007), with whom he now resides. As his brother in law David reflected: « In one’s life we hope to bring out the best of our humanity for other living souls but more importantly to show kindness, humour, compassion and understanding to future generations. Mark has done a wonderful job of this, in his own honourable way. RIP dear one. A celebration of Mark’s 55 years of life will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 11:00 am with visitation on Wednesday February 21 2018 at 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill. Donations to Toronto General Hospital – Peter Munk Cardiac Centre gratefully received.
