Marjorie Marie Welton

WELTON, (Feener) Marjorie Marie ~ age 91 of Middleton, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton,
surrounded by her family. Born in Wileville, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Amy (Feener) Rhodenizer and Roy Conrad. Marjorie came to Middleton to work at Scotian Gold in 1945 at age 18. She met and married the late Charles Huntington Welton and they lived happily together for 70 years. Marjorie was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #1 Auxiliary for many years. She enjoyed housekeeping and visiting family and friends, going to yard sales and playing bingo. In the later years, after Charles retired, she enjoyed fishing. Marjorie will be sadly missed by her daughter Lois Murphy (John Blacquiere), Greenwood; sons, Keith (Heather) Welton, Wilmot; Ken Welton (Dot Butler), Kingston; grandchildren Michelle (Mike) Dowell, Middleton; Melissa Welton (Tim Call), Calgary, AB; Shane Welton, Middleton; Wayne Lacroix, Calgary; Brandon Murphy and Bradley Murphy both of
Greenwood; great-grandchildren Bailey, Callie, Darius, Dawson, Krista and Kurtis and great-great-granddaughter Lindsey; sister Florence Oickle, Auburndale, Lunenburg Co.; brother Roger (Gladys) Feener, Halifax; sister-in-law Dora Hawksworth, Middleton; brothers-in-law Walter (Kelly) Welton, Petawawa, ON and John (Shirley) Welton, Calgary, AB. Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Charles Welton; grand-daughter-in-law Mellisa Clayton-Welton and granddaughter Sherry Lee Marie Baker; sisters Phyllis Hill and Beatrice Fancy; brothers Lincoln Rhodenizer and Leonard Rhodenizer; sisters-in law Melzina Thibeault, Elmira Wilkins, Florence Heisler; brother-in law Jim Hawkesworth. Visitation will be 7 – 9 pm, Friday, April 6th in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448 from where a Funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, April 7, 2018 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Tremont Cemetery.
