MACDONALD, Marjorie – 80, Dartmouth, NS. Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Loving wife of the late Alvin Frederick MacDonald.
Born on October 26, 1938 – Hermitage, Newfoundland
Daughter of John Charles Short and Marjorie Short (Miller) of Champneys, Trinity Bay, NL
Predeceased by her loving Daughter Lillian Kim Vandaalen. Marj is survived by two Brothers, Clayton Stewart Short (Corner Brook, NL). Robert Allister Samuel Short (Corner Brook, NL). Grandchild Cal Vandaalen (Fall River, NS), Son Richard MacDonald & Laurie Milton (Victoria, BC), Grandchild Stephanie & Ben Patterson, Great Grandchild Brodee Patterson, Grandchild Joseph MacDonald & Carmen McFadden, Great Grandchildren, Greycen and Ryland MacDonald. Grandchild, Jackie Bronson, Great Grandchild Emily, TJ Bronson. Son Daniel & Katia MacDonald (Halifax, NS) Grandchild Zachary MacDonald (Victoria, BC) Sister in-law Heather (Doug) McGinnis (Dartmouth, NS), Brother in-law Bruce (Liz) MacDonald (Bridgewater, NS) The Keeping Family, The Short Family, Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
Mom was a very fun, caring and loving person. In addition to cooking and baking so many wonderful meals and treats, she enjoyed spending many hours playing cards, knitting, crocheting, sewing, making ceramics and was a past Dart Champ. Mom always enjoyed watching Curling and enjoyed heading to social gatherings with friends and neighbors when the opportunity would arise. We Love and are going to miss you Mom.
The family extends a sincere thank you to Sam for her dedicating time and care of our dear mother.
Family and Friends are welcome to attend the placement of Mom’s Ashes alongside of Dad’s at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery Last Post Niche on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
