We mourn the passing of Marjorie Smith on January 31, 2018 a the Biggar Diamond Lodge. She is survived by her brother John (Margaret) Cook of Biggar, numerous nieces and nephews on the Cook and Smith sides. Predeceased by husband Gordon, parents Mary and Russel cook and brothes and sisters-in-law Raymond and Marje and Lloyd and Rose. Marjorie was born and raised on the family farm in the Thackeray district. Following a Commercial course in Wilkie , She began her career in Unity , then Saskatoon, Speers, Prince Albert, Zelma and back to Saskatoon, working and making friends. She loved to travel with trips overseas and to Ontario visiting, Cook , Westgate and McLenaghan relatives. Also many trips with the Saskatchewan Heritage Society. .A Mewmorial service will be held in the Wilkie Cemetery at a later date. Marjorie’s church family at St. David’s Trinity United Church in Saskatoon will be notified.
