Maripaz Miguel
Maripaz Miguel, passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2018 at Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was surrounded by her family and friends.
She will always be remembered by her amazing cooking skills, her love for people and her sense of humour. Maripaz was known to always “adopt” individuals who did not have any relatives and « adopt » families who were new to Nova Scotia. She was always quick to make friends and welcomed many people into her home who all became part of her family. She was a loyal friend; who put others’ needs first before herself, a devoted mother; who cared for her children and other people’s children very much, and a loving wife to her husband, Rudy; whom she was with for over 48 years.
Maripaz was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Rudy Miguel and her four children – along with many “adopted” ones. She will be greatly missed by everyone who has known her.
Maripaz loved fashion and colours, so we invite all in attendance to join our family in dressing to celebrate her life with this in mind.
Visitation will be held at the Atlantic Funeral Home on the following dates;
Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Celebration of Life service will be held at Faith Tabernacle Church on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception at 1:00 PM at the same venue.

Burial Service will be held at the Dartmouth Memorial Gardens – Atlantic Funeral Home on August 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM
