It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Power on May 7, 2018. Marion was born to Roland and Winnifred Mansell on September 16, 1926. She was the youngest of three children and grew up in Leask, Saskatchewan. She moved to Prince Albert in 1946 where she met the love of her life, Jim (Sparky) Power and they were married in 1947. Mom worked several jobs including running the Multiple List Service for the P.A. Real Estate Board, sold real estate for several years and ran the Mini-Stakes Lottery that helped build and operate the Communiplex (now known as the Art Hauser Centre). Mom and Dad retired to Murray Point at Emma Lake in 1981 and became snowbirds to Arizona for 13 years. They moved back to Prince Albert in 1994. After dad passed away, mom kept very busy with family and friends and was involved with St. George’s Anglican Church and the Royal Canadian Legion. Mom moved to Good Shepherd Villas in 2014 where she enjoyed being well taken care of by the wonderful staff. Mom’s mind stayed sharp until the end. She will be greatly missed by all those she leaves behind.
