Marion Goodine
1922-2018
With her daughter by her side, Marie Anne « Marion » Goodine
of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away peacefully at the Grand Falls General
Hospital on February 27, 2018.
Marion was born in Bathurst, NB, on June 11, 1922. She was the
daughter of the late Amos and Priscilla (Melanson) Doucette. Marion
leaves behind her daughter, Mavis Patterson of Plaster Rock, NB; her
grandchildren, Heather Carroll of Saint John, NB, Michael Patterson
(Marion) of Moncton, NB, Steven Patterson (Cindy) of Fredericton, NB;
eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; her
brothers, Francis Doucette and Hubert « Gabe » Doucette, both
of Plaster Rock, NB; her sister-in-law, Judy Doucette of Plaster Rock,
NB; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Marion was predeceased by her parents; her grandson, Brent Patterson;
her sisters, Freda Greer, Dorothy Senechal, and Patricia Foster; her
brothers, Eloi, Gordon, Andrew and Robert Doucette.
Resting at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Plaster Rock, NB, with
visitation on Saturday 11 am – 1 pm. Funeral service will be held on
Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 1 pm from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic
Church. Father Paul Paradis officiating. Interment will be in the
parish cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Plaster Rock Public
Library or to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be
appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock.
