It is with broken hearts the family of Marie Gaudet announce her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Sunday November 4, 2018. Marie leaves behind her loving husband and best friend of 48 years, Francois. She also leaves her treasured daughters Nicole (Larry) and Sylvie Gaudet-Moylan (Corey). Her pride and joy were her grandson Riley and granddaughter Fiona. Marie also leaves behind her chosen daughter Nancy Gaudet (Pat) and her daughters Cassandra and Janna. Marie was born into a large and loving family; she leaves her sisters and brothers to mourn her loss, Estelle, Denise, Florence, Evelyne, Isabelle, Andy, Leo, Louise, Leonard and Theresa. She also leaves behind numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Marie has gone to join her parents Marguerite and Isidore Chenier, her sisters Jeanine, Simone, Suzanne and her brother George. Marie persevered through numerous health struggles and made the best of her last years. Spending time with her family and friends were her passion and delight. Her door was always open; she was known to say she was making memories. Marie had a vibrant personality and a gentle heart. She lived a selfless life giving of herself to anyone who needed a hand or an ear. She touched the hearts of all who knew her. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Timmins District Hospital and special thanks to nurses Caron and Sherry. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated. In accordance with Marie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Jacques Cartier school, 377 Maple Street North from 1pm to 4pm.
