McDonald, Marie, passed away peacefully surrounded by love at the Southampton Hospital on Monday February 12, 2018. Isabel Marie McDonald (nee Nickel) of West Arran in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Keith McDonald for 63 years. Loving mother of Joanne (Kerry Turcotte) of Port Elgin, Bill (Mary Margaret) of Thamesville, Steve (Tina) of Guelph, Bruce (Tammy) of West Arran, and Dennis (Lee Ann) of Kimberley, B.C. Grandma Marie will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Brent (Kathleen), Coby, Robert (Julia), Amanda, Andrew, Adam (Kassandra), Matt (Breanna), Michael, Stephanie (Greg), Lucas, Carter, and Kirby. Survived by her siblings, Marjorie (Gordon) Wark, Jane Biernes, and Joyce (Gerry) Doyle, by her sister-in-laws, Mary Nickel and Faerlene Nickel, by Keith’s siblings, Stan (Betty) MacDonald, Edna (Jim) Clazie, Fraser (Carol) McDonald. Fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Allan & Esther, by her sister Evelyn and her husband Mervyn Brusso, by her brothers, Carmen and John, and by her brother-in-law, Jim Biernes. Visitation at the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Thursday February 15, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Marie will be held at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Burgoyne, on Friday at 11 a.m. Spring interment at Southampton Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Knox Presbyterian Church, to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
