It is with great sadness that the Di Nardo family announces the passing of Maria on June 26th, in Ottawa, at the age of 97. Born in Pretoro Italy, Maria immigrated to Ottawa, Canada in 1956. Strong, independent, creative and dedicated, Maria will be sorely missed by her family, relatives in Ottawa and Pretoro, and friends. Predeceased by her parents Rachele (née Pellegrini) and Rocco Di Nardo, and by her brother Nicola, she is survived by her brother Domenico (Ingrid), and her devoted nephews Alexander (Zoe) and Daniel. Zia, as she was affectionately known, will be missed by her great-niece Eva and her great-nephew Leo. Friends may pay respects at the
