Passed away peacefully at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at Humber River Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Joseph. Cherished mother of Grace (David Colbert), Liliana, Anna (Sal Dominicis) and Lucy (Robert Machacek). Fiercely proud and adored Nonna of Michael, Daniel, Anthony, Alessandra, Kioko, Joseph, Anthony, Peter and Mary. Devoted sister to Connie (Pino), Lino (Leda) and Fausto. She will forever be remembered by her many cousins, nieces, nephews and legions of women who called her “La Sarta”. She was a hero to the many brides who wore her magnificent creations. Maria leaves a legacy of love. Family and friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel at 4933 Dundas St. W., (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) Etobicoke on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 480 Rathburn Rd., Etobicoke, on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, remembrances may be made to Humber River Regional Hospital or Heart and Stroke Foundation
