OBITUARY
Marguerite Ann Slee
December 30, 1938 – October 26, 2018
Slee, Marguerite Ann H. (nee DeVere) passed away peacefully on October 26, 2018 at the age of 79.
Beloved mother of Allyson Slee and April (Kael) Edworthy, and adoring Grammy to Alyssa Munro and Sawyer and Tate Edworthy. Survived and cherished by the DeVere siblings Malcolm (Carolyn), Milly and Michael. Fondly remembered by nieces Jennifer Anderson of Cambridge and Katherine Pettigrew of Sackville, NB. Also remembered by former spouse Donald Slee. Predeceased by parents Leonard and Olive. The family is grateful to the outstanding staff (angels in disguise) of the Grand River Unit-Hilltop Manor and Dr. Crosby for the precious care she received. Special mention and gratitude to extended family members Richard and Margot Reid of Kitchener and former neighbours in West Galt for the many years of friendship, support and compassion. Born in Galt, Marguerite attended Dickson School and Galt Collegiate Institute. She worked for The Waterloo Trust & Savings Company until she devoted her life to being the best mother she could be. Marguerite was a true beauty, and treasured the memories of friendships and simpler times. She was kind-hearted, genuine and always put the needs of others before herself. She was happiest spending time with family, friends and tending to her garden. A private service will be held at a later date. Interment at Mount View Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marguerite may be made to The Cambridge Humane Society or to a charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to T. Little Funeral Home, Cambridge.
