Obituary of Margaret Olah
OLAH, Margaret (nee Sovar)
Passed away at home at the age of 77 on Thursday, November 22, 2018 after a valiant struggle with cancer. Beloved wife of 58 years to Peter. Cherished mother of Margaret (Dan) Heyes, Susan and Kathy. Loving « Mama » to Evan and Maria. Dearly loved sister of Joseph (Linda) Sovar. Margaret will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Canada, Hungary and the USA. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret Sovar. Margaret worked for years at CMHC, St. Catharines City Hall, and was Co-Proprietor of the Thorold Bowl Away. Margaret loved to travel, enjoyed cooking, being in the garden, and especially loved spending time with her immediate and extended family and friends. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Sunday, November 25 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 316 Queenston St. , St. Catharines on Monday, November 26 at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery . If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre. She will be forever remembered in our hearts.
