Ross, Margaret (nee Sloan)
A resident of Chatham, Margaret Ross peacefully passed away, with her family by her side, at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home on Sunday, February 25 2018.
Born January 1st, 1935, Margaret was the daughter of the late Lorne & Margaret (nee Grant) Sloan.
Beloved wife of 64 years to Ewen Ross.
Loving mother of Robert Ross & Karen Dutry, Sher & Pete DeJonge and Lynn & Harold Reissner, all of Chatham.
Grandma of Morgan (Dwayne), Jordan, Matt, Lucas (Lexi), Sybil, Shane (Kristin), Kyle (Dana) & Blair (Jordan).
Special great-grandma of Tayvia, Ella, Gray, Ryker, Alex, Van, Lowe, Audra, Sloan, & Slade.
Predeceased by her brothers, Angus & Doug Sloan, sister-in-law, Helen Sloan.
Survived by sister-in-law, Eva Sloan, also much loved by Ann & Jim Snider, many nieces & nephews.
Margaret wore many shoes & hats throughout her life and has left her mark on us in many different ways.
Family to receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service in memory of Margaret will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:00 am.
Private Family Burial in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to New St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Dover or to a charity of choice.
