1931-2018
Margaret Rose Latos (Zabik), at the age of 87 years, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Born January 23, 1931 in Timmins, Ontario, she moved to Tillsonburg in 1947. Survived by her loving husband, Margaret was married to Joseph Latos for 65 years. Wonderful mother to son David Latos and his wife Bernice, daughter, Diane Varro and her husband Tom. Margaret was a caring and supportive “Gramma”, to Ryan Varro and his wife Lindsay, Kyle Varro and his partner Courtney Brisebois, Bradley Latos and his wife Jennifer, and Nicole Latos and her partner Eric Babcock. She cherished the time she spent with her great-grandchildren Owen and Ellie Varro, and Ethan and Mark Latos. Predeceased by her brother John Zabik, and brother-in-law Andy Pocs. Margaret is survived by sister-in-laws Margaret Zabik, Margaret Pocs, 4 nephews, and 1 niece. She was a devoted family member and friend, always inviting her loved one’s over for large meals and quality time. Margaret will always be remembered for her kind soul and caring nature. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-5221 on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The Memorial Service for Margaret will be held in Ostander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. A private family inurnment will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery, at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
