Peacefully on January 13, 2018, Margaret Buschau passed away at the age of 85 years.
Mom was born December 19, 1932 in the Plumas District, youngest of seven children to Adolf & Mary Macks. She attended school in both Deseronto and Plumas.
Mom married Harold Buschau in September of 1951 and they had a family of five: Eric, Kris (Roger), Kane, Marc and Jodi (Rich).
Over the years, Mom was always busy with the garden, canning and of course baking. Mom was also quite artistic and involved in many forms of crafts from sewing, painting, ceramics and many, many quilts. She also partook in many community ventures from 4H to LWML and was quite involved with the Zion Lutheran Church and choir.
Mom was very outgoing and loved her Old Tyme country dances and music. Many a meal or late night coffee was shared in our dining room with friends and family.
Over the years, Mom was fortunate enough to see both coasts of Canada, parts of the states and even a European tour with family. She also had the fun of chaperoning several of the WMCI Band tours and put up with teenage shenanigans.
Mom was blessed with seven grandchildren – Tanya, Shannon, Victoria, Natasha, Jordan, Jesse and Randie and one great grandson Hayden. Just ask any of the kids about all the fun they had staying at Grandma’s in Plumas – from tree climbing, giraffe feeders and catching snakes, to going to the playgrounds and the café on their bikes, attending VBS, as well as many adventures in baking with Grandma.
Mom’s love and wisdom will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Margaret Mary Macks Buschau December 19 1932 January 13 2018 (age 85).source
