This beautiful lady, Margaret Fox Jeffries, Burlington’s finest “Avon lady”, and avid Blue Jays fan, passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services in Southampton on March 28, 2018, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Jack (1997). Loving mother to Gary (Gillian Carmichael) and Nancy Jeffries Dwyer (Terry Dwyer). Cherished grandmother to Jonathan, Jaime, Jodie, Ryan, Taryn, Jory, Meredith, and Tessa. Great grandmother to 10 great grandchildren; Keagan, Logan, Caleb, Colton, Katie, Evan, Maya, Zoe, Henry and Isla. And dearest sister to Lillian Welsh.
In addition to Margaret’s 60 plus years of devoted service to her Avon clients, Mom was also famous for her Halloween taffy apples. Many a lucky child came home on Halloween eve, after lining up at the door, with one of these delicious treats.
Mom was such a good sport every time Dad wanted to trade in his lightly used Winnebago for the newest model. And off they would go traveling the country, picking up kids and grandkids along the way, to attend a most important sporting event.
We will treasure and remember her always and forever! Her kind yet indomitable spirit have touched all who knew her, and we are all the richer for this blessing.

Visitation at Appleby United Church, 4407 Spruce Avenue, on Tuesday from 6 – 9pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Church on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11am with reception to follow. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
