Margaret Jean Pixley
PIXLEY, Margaret Jean
June 14, 1934- March 28, 2018
It is with profound sadness that the Pixley family announces the passing of our dear mother, Margaret Pixley. She was born in Brandon, Manitoba and subsequently moved to Kelowna, British Columbia with her parents where she met the love of her life, Stanley Edmund Pixley who was stationed there with the RCMP. They subsequently moved to Calgary and then to Lethbridge (where her two children- Richard and Steven were born) and then to Peace River, finally settling in Edmonton in 1975.
She was predeceased by her loving parents who were in Kelowna, BC (William Herman and Flora May Cowie), and husband Stanley Pixley in Edmonton. Her dear sister Dot Depper and brother Murray Cowie from BC have also passed away before her.
She is survived by her loving son’s Rick (wife Mirna) and Steve of Edmonton; as well as her sister Eleanor MacClaren of North Vancouver as well as numerous cousins and other relatives.
Margaret loved life and was always very positive about everything much to the envy of everyone who knew her. After a few age related health problems, she passed away peacefully in her home which is where she wanted to be.
We love you and miss you Mom and know that you are in a better place now.
Cremation has taken place and at her request there will be no public ceremony. Thank you and God Bless to all who may remember her and celebrate her life in their own way.
