The death of Margret A. (Curtis) Fournier wife of Ernest Fournier of Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the age of 74. Born in Newcastle, NB, Margaret was the daughter of the late Norris and Germaine (Sullivan) Curtis.
Margaret worked in food services at the former Hotel Dieu in Chatham, NB and also was a caregiver.
Besides her husband Ernest, Margaret is survived by one daughter: Patti Manderville (Tommy Underhill) and one son: Randy (Betty Ann) all of Miramichi, NB; seven sisters: Mae Stewart (Derrick) Verne Fournier, Zelda Nash, Jackie Curtis (Sheldon) all of White Rapids, NB, Treva Coughlan (Johnny) of Gray Rapids, NB and Deana Curtis (Jerry) of Warwick Road, NB and Dorothy Coughlan (Derek MacEvoy) of Barnettville, NB; five brothers: Robert (Lou) of Gray Rapids, NB, Junior (Nancy) of Barnettville, NB, Scottie, Al and Sydney all of Miramichi, NB; five grandchildren: Tara McIntyre(Nick), Kent Manderville (Brittany), Jordan Fournier, Kurtis Manderville and Jaeda Fournier; chosen grandson: Franklin Vickers and two great grandsons: Evan and Cole McIntyre, also several nieces and nephews.
Margaret is predeceased by her parents and two brothers: Alex and George.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Father Dan Melanson officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.
