Rochon, Marcel (1936-2018)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury, Thursday March 22nd 2018, at the age of 81 years. Son of the late Pierre Rochon and of the late Marguerite Rochon née (Demers). Husband of the late Cécile Rochon (née Bourré). Loving father of Robert Rochon of Toronto and of the late Donald Rochon. Marcel will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Michel (Debbie) of Chelmsford and Chantal Appleton (Ryan) of Stouffville, his great grandchildren Nicholas and Dylan Appleton as well as by his many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Fernande Rochon (Bob), Pauline Rivard (Gaëtan), Hector (Yvette), Patrick (Laurette), Denis, François (Gisèle), the late Gérard (J.R.) (Estelle) all of Alban, Estelle Losier (Charlie) and Lucienne Lalonde (Gilles) both of Listowel, Lucille Boucher (Bob), Fernand (Gail) both of Noelville, the late Thérèse Prévost (late Maurice) Pierrette Newton (Ricky) of Parry Sound, the late Jean Guy, and Noëlla Gorham (late Allan) of Chelmsford. Also survived by his companion Jackie Guérin. Marcel was a well known and well respected trucker in the transport industry. He made many friends and gained their respect with his belief in hard work and honesty. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing and camping in the French River and Pickerel River areas. The Rochon family will receive friends at the Alban Community Center, Saturday March 31st from 12 noon until 2 pm. Cremation and funeral arrangements in care of the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
