Mara Maglicic (Kekic)
Passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018 at Joseph Brant Hospital in her 94th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband George Maglicic, her parents Marko and Ljuba Kekic, and her brothers Joze and Janko Kekic. Loving mother of Joe Maglicic (Suzanne) and Mary Tucek (Mike). Cherished grandmother “baka” of Maryanne Muhar (Nikola), Michelle Tucek (Pino Renna) and Jennifer Maglicic (Simon Grave). Dear great-grandmother of Adriana, Olivia, Emilia, Sebastien, Vivienne, Marley and Ella. Mara will be missed by her sisters, Barbara Les and Reza Staresinic as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends in both Canada and Croatia. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Joseph Brant Hospital for their exceptional care. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 5 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Croatian Catholic Church, 2110 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. Guests will be invited to a reception at Holy Trinity Church following the burial. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to Holy Trinity Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
