It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother & uncle Mandeep Singh Grewal on Monday, August 20th, 2018.
Lovingly known as Mun or Manny, he will forever be remembered by the loves of his life, wife Jennifer Grewal and daughter Nyla Grewal, as well as his father Surinderpal Singh Grewal, mother Amritpal Kaur Grewal, sister Gurpreet Kaur Gill (Maninder), the entire Mackenzie family. A large extended family across North America and beyond have wonderful memories of his infectious laugh and thoughtful, caring mannerisms.
Mun was predeceased by both sets of grandparents (Jarnail Singh & Bhagwant Kaur Grewal and Mohinder Singh and Jagjit Kaur Mangat) and his uncle (Gurmeit Singh Grewal).
Mun was loved by all that knew him due to his personable nature and great sense of humour and optimism. He was an extremely well-liked and respected member of CN’s Walker Yard team. He worked hard to become a General Supervisor of Transportation (Trainmaster) at a relatively young age. He made a big impression with colleagues during his shortened career and will be affectionately remembered as one of their best leaders.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 26th at 2:00 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Edmonton South (4820 Meridian Street). Following the service, the congregation will move to Gurudwara Singh Sabha (4504 Millwoods Road South) for the final prayer services.
During this time of grief, we extend our heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of condolences and support from our family, friends, his colleagues and our community. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in loving memory of Mandeep who we will miss beyond words.
