Forever Loved
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our loving mother and devoted wife, Magaline Yong, 86, of Edmonton, Alberta, on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert, Alberta.
Born February 27, in Sabah, Malaysia, she was the daughter of the late Peter Chin and late Lucy Wong.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ah Foo Yong; three sons, Chee Wah (Sharon) of Vernon, BC, Chee Hung, and Chee Sheng of Calgary, AB; one daughter, Siew Siao (Andrew) of Edmonton, AB, and predeceased by her daughter, Siew Phing.
She loved to cook and bake, and was often found watching animal TV programs. She loved watching Stampede Wrestling with her sons. She enjoyed gardening. She always ensured that everyone who visited her home was well fed.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Sturgeon Community Hospital for the excellent care and the compassion received.
A Memorial service will be conducted on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
